Stewardship

StewardshipGiving of your time, talent, and treasure for the glory of the Lord

Jesus recognizes giving as an action and measure of the heart.  People tend to look at the size of the gift or the nobility of the cause, but Jesus looks at the heart of the giver.

We at Oakwood United Methodist Church believe there are many ways to contribute. The following pages provide information about our stewardship activities that we hope are helpful to you.

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. People curse the one who hoards grain, but they pray God’s blessing on the one who is willing to sell. Whoever seeks good finds favor, but evil comes to one who searches for it. Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf. Proverbs 11:25-28
