"24 Hours- That Changed The World", by Adam Hamilton - Small Groups kick off on February 21st! - No single event in human history has received more attention than the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus. Each chapter of this book is designed to help us experience and understand the significance of Jesus' suffering and death in a new way. This group meets the 1st & 3rdTuesdays of every month. Regularly scheduled meetings will include a potluck dinner and daycare is provided, called Moppets. For questions contact Shelli Bice.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children. MOPS also encourages and supports moms through resources such as books, the MOPS website www.mops.org.

Women’s Ministry

UMW Group meets the second Monday of every month for mission and quarterly event planning with a fresh devotion focus each month. Contact Sandi Stone for more info.


Marriage Ministry – “Christ-Centered Couples”

This class is offered during Christian Learning Time each Sunday from 9:45-10:30 (Sept-May). Lance & Michelle Arrasmith are leading this class.

Quarterly events/date nights/ workshops. These events are open to couples of all ages and stages, dating on up.


Men’s Ministry

The Men's group is currently seeking God on new direction. If you would like to get involved or for more details, contact Roger Johnson.

The Men's class during Christian Learning Time Class each Sunday is from 9:45 – 10:30.


Classics

This is an informal gathering & potluck open to all adults 50 plus in years and wisdom. The meet the 2nd Thursday of each month in the Garden Café at Oakwood.

BLJ – Business, Lunch and Jesus – This is an open group that meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday s of every month at various Des Moines area restaurants from 11:30-12:30 to talk about what the Bible has to say about a wide variety of topics. Check this month’s calendar for locations and join anytime!
